Atypical & Awesome “Train Adventures Day 1”

Well, the sleeping on the train bit is for the birds. We are two hours behind schedule after having quite the ordeal getting through Atlanta. BUT, the scenery is beautiful and I am like a big kid having a ball. We have a long day on the train but will be in New York this evening. I did not realize how many working trains still operate. We have had two delays due to having to wait on the track to clear. We literally had to wait on a freight train last night. Pretty wild- this may be the most Johnny Cash experience of my life- lol But, despite the delays there are some real benefits to train travel. Two hours is better than a cancelled flight or being stuck in an airport overnight. Like most things, it’s not perfect but so far, I’m kinda lovin’ it. Will check in later!
