Atypical & Awesome “Busy as a June Bug”
May was a good month. So many things happened for our family but there was also a lot of movement with music for me. I wrote with five new cowriters in country, bluegrass, folk, and R&B. I have a couple of cowrites booked with new cowriters in June. Phillip and I try to get out at least once a week to support local artists. We’ve been out to see Alice Nelson and Frank Fletcher in the past week or two. Always fun to hear some of the songs I’ve cowritten and/or repped as a publisher performed live. I’m also thrilled to see the success of some of my long-term cowriters including my friend Mark Dolin who has a cut on the “Worth the Wait” debut album. It just dropped and is already #17 on I-tunes and climbing. Mark has worked so hard for so long and deserves all the success. So things are going well and busy as usual and as we say in the biz- busy is good.
