Atypical & Awesome “Pomp and Circumstance “
Before May slips away, I must pay homage to all the major events in our family this month. Alex graduated The University of Alabama with honors and now has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. In addition, one of their professors was so impressed with Alex’s group senior project, the team was offered to continue the project for the University as paid consultants. That’s pretty impressive no matter how you slice it. Btw, Alex attended Alabama on academic scholarships to include a merit scholarship, an Engineering scholarship, and an alumni scholarship. Super proud of their hard work.
Michael graduated high school-whew! I met Michael on his 10th birthday. Watching Michael grow up has been a journey. He has excelled in art and this weekend showed that he has made some really good friends. The future is wide open for Michael. A big, huge hurdle is behind him and he came out victorious.
Autumn is shining bright in NYC and just blossoming. She has already been chosen to speak to college recruits on behalf of her company. I cannot help but gush when I talk about her.
Reagan made it through 7th grade! The past few months were a lot smoother and she seems to be enjoying doing typical teenage girl things like talking to her friends and wearing makeup. She’ll be our only one in regular school next year- hard to believe.
Sarah has started a new position in nursing and is back in Mobile. We can’t wait to see her and our Princess Quinn very soon! We miss our gingers!
Oh, and Phillip has been at his new job a year now. What a blessing for our family it has been! I have my husband on the weekends and holidays now! I do not miss the restaurant life one bit!
It has been a month for the record books! So much everything! But we are so incredibly blessed and I don’t take a second of it for granted. Thanks for being a part of our adventure!
