Atypical & Awesome “Wrapping Up and Wonderful Things”

At the risk of sounding redundant- whew! Another busy week behind us which leaves me with one week left in practicum! So, Friday Autumn flew down from NYC and we were able to spend most of yesterday with her. She brought me some really sweet gifts from Iceland including a post card from a cat cafe, a blue lagoon facial scrub, and earrings made from volcanic rock! She is definitely my daughter!

Last night, Phillip and I went to Benji’s in Daleville to support the live taping of the Dead Mom Club comedy podcast hosted by Corey Bigbie and Justin Woodward. Afterwards, we participated in the open-mic comedy. We made some new contacts and new opportunities were presented as well as seeing some of our friends in the comedy circle. It is really special seeing everyone grow. Plus, Benjjis food is amazing and the hospitality is on point!

Phillip and I then made a quick stop to the Village Inn to see our friends Midlife Crisis. Sometimes you just need a little grunge :) plus, the guys are super talented and know how to take you back to the days of flannel, college, and cd players lol

We have a lot of family things planned today so we hope you all have a fabulous Sunday! One more week yall- I think I can, I think I can!
