Atypical & Awesome, “Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice”

Yes, we’ve been busy. But… we’ve had lots of fun, too. Last week, I was able to go to Dirty Dancing Live and “had the time of my life” thanks to Phillip winning tickets. I think the funniest part of the evening was hearing all the middle-aged women scream when Patrick Swayze walked on the screen in his opening scene. Me, I was absolutely this middle aged woman lol But for a few hours, I was fourteen again. Dirty Dancing was THE movie of my formative years. And the music- just perfect.

Then, the next Saturday we headed to Tuscaloosa for the UA versus LSU basketball game. It was a nail biter but the Tide pulled through. We had lots of good food and family time- so that is a win for sure.

This past Saturday, Phillip and I went downtown for Enterprises’s Mardis Gras Golf Cart parade. It was super cute. We stopped by a local coffee shop for Mardis Gras tea and King Cake macaroons. Speaking of King Cake, we bought our first of the season and it was YUM. I found the baby with my first cut-lol
