Atypical & Awesome “Bagels and Bright Lights”

Yesterday began with another bucket list food item- New York bagels! We found an amazing bagel shop a block from us and boy, was I in heaven. We got a big bagful and a variety of cream cheeses and took them to Autumn for a true NY breakfast. We spent some time checking out her neighborhood and seeing what is within walking distance. The internet guy got her hooked up and that in itself was an interesting experience- we had sone very thought provoking conversations with this ypung man. The whole trip has been filled with great conversations with strangers- and I hesitate to say strangers. I am seeing so much connectedness and humanity on this trip. Delightfully surprised. Everyone has been exceptionally nice.

After her internet was installed it was time to check the biggest of the biggest bucket list item off- selfies in Times Square. No, the dream hasn’t always been selfies but it has bern Times Square. But first, we had to take the subway which is conveniently located right across from Autumn’s apartment. As we waited, we were treated to a little Brooklyn snow. It was beautiful but freezing! It was already a great day but stepping off the subway into Times Square was surreal. So many pictures and I make no apologies. We had dinner at a gorgeous restaurant overlooking Broadway-i mean, could it be more magical? We are having a great time- more adventures to follow!
