Atypical & Awesome “Here Comes the Rain and PB&J”
Tomorrow night is the single release for “Here Comes the Rain” by Alice Nelson. Alice, Dennis Powell and I wrote this last year during a three-way write at Dennis’s house. His sweet wife, Marianne had cooked for us and we ended the evening with full bellies and a new song. A year later, that song is being released on all platforms. I couldn’t be happier to have a cut with two of my favorite cowriters. Stop by Bugsy’s for the release party and make sure you presave it. I suspect around 11 pm tomorrow night, it will hit streaming platforms:)
Also, we are just over a week away from the PB&J Fest in Atlanta! I am so excited to be a part of this event for the third year. However, it will be my first time participating in person! I finally get to meet some sweet friends I have known online through Kimono My House- Atlanta-the brain child of Kim Ware and Andy Gish. Silvia Medrano-Edelstein has worked so hard to pull this together. It will take place at Bibliotech Books in Atlanta. I perform at 6 pm and will be sharing a collection of poems. In addition, there will be a sign language interpreter performing with me. Is this not the coolest thing ever? If you are in Atlanta, please stop by as there will be a full-day of poetry!
Also, don’t forget Wiregrass Comedy will be hosting comedy night at Happy Times in Ozark on April 26! Wiregrass Museum of Art’s Write Night is May 9. And of course, the Funny Girls all female comedy show at Benji’s in Daleville on Sat. May 13! Hope to see you out and about and as always - thank you so much for your support!
