Atypical & Awesome “Father’s Day”

It’s been a busy but good Father’s Day. I started the day by writing a poem (published on allpoetry.com) and making a few social media posts honoring Phillip and my father. i then cooked a special breakfast of breakfast casserole and deluxe chocolate chip muffins paired with good coffee. Phillip and I went to church and I sang in choir. After church, we picked up a few groceries and a coconut cake for my dad. We, and most of the kids took it to my dad and visited with my parents and nephew for a while. We came home and I fixed Greek inspired food for dinner. After dinner, Phillip and I took a walk as I am on a doctor-ordered exercise plan. Kinda. Definitely doctor “encouraged”. Phillip is getting ready to go out of town again so it has been busy. It’s been a pretty good Sunday and for the first time- Phillip did not have to work on Father’s Day- woohoo!
