Atypical & Awesome “The Part I Don’t Like”
It’s 7:54 am and I am working on my first cup of coffee. Here in a minute, I will get up and start getting ready for the day. I took the day off from the day gig in order to take Autumn to the airport in Panama City. Oh, how I’m going to miss her- we’ve loved having her home. We’ve made it through Alex’s graduation from college, Reagan’s first school dance, and a quick trip to the beach yesterday. We’ve had lots of adventures including two blackbirds getting in the house it two days- it’s been wild- literally.
I have learned to keep myself busy in times of transition (when the older kids leave and return to their respective lives) and I have a lot on the books this week. I will be sitting in NSAI-Birmingham’s meeting tonight via zoom, I have cowrites booked Tuesday and Thursday evening with new cowriters, and I even started this morning with a full lyric and melody to pitch to one of my newer cowriters. Busy keeps my heart from breaking when I’m missing my babies. Or husband. Or cat. Or whatever the situation is in any given moment. Have a good day, everyone- time to get that gypsy wagon packed.
