Atypical & Awesome “Streisand”

I’ve been a little obsessed with Barbra Streisand this week. God has laid something huge on my heart and I was led to immerse myself in Broadway-kinda. So I pulled up Barbra Streisand’s Greatest Hits on my Blue tooth to listen to on my way to work. Tears. So many tears. Streisand spoke to me this week, yall. The memories (pardon the pun). “The Way We Were”…. My oldest sister had one of those wooden jewelry boxes back in the 80’s that would play music when opened. I’m pretty sure “The Way We Were” was the song playing as she removed her beloved add-a-bead necklace. Oh, the nostalgia. “Somewhere”. Breathtaking. It was the song that sent chills through me as a teenager. Still does. Music that truly makes you feel something. Where is it these days? It’s…. somewhere. So, deep breath. I know what I’ve got to do. I know what I must do. The time is coming. It’s in me. Somewhere.
