Atypical & Awesome “Pretty Good Day”
I’m still nursing that darn “kidney stone or whatever” but yesterday ended up being a pretty good day. I stayed in my pjs until the afternoon. Phillip watched football and I had an online cowrite with Travis Myles from Kentucky. We wrote a hook I’ve been wanting to write and Travis had the thought to turn it into a duet which worked beautifully. Looking forward to sharing this one soon.
Speaking of Travis, I performed another of our cowrites live last night for the first time. Travis and I wrote, “Red Wine and Blue” over the summer and I really, really like this one. I had not performed out in months so it was big deal for me to do this last night. It went relatively well. I should play out more but I have terrible stage fright- I know that may be hard to believe but it’s true,
We had some nice family time, yesterday- we ate “football food” complete with three kinds of wings and Rotel and played a game Alex brought out called, “No, Thanks”. I won the first round and had the Midas touch on game two- it was rather comical. It was a good day.
