Atypical & Awesome “Mental Health Day”
Today, I am home. I am taking a much needed day off from my day gig as a mental health therapist. In order to care for others, we must first care for ourselves. My work load has increased 33 percent in recent weeks and my time to meet this workload has reduced by half. I am a “doer” so I have made it happen for the past couple of weeks but I am tired. If I have “skipped out” or missed messages, I am sorry. In addition, we move Conner back to college tomorrow, Autumn is working her big remote NYC job, Michael has started his senior year in high school, and Reagan has started middle school. Middle school itself deserves it’s on blog entry-lol! Then my kids at work are also adjusting to a lot. Phillip is still getting used to his new job. And then there’s COVID. So, yes, I’m a little spent. Today, I plan to write, drink coffee, and hide from the world. Stay safe- physically and mentally dear ones.
